Mechanical Design Engineer will design and assist to coordinate the development of new products, new product features, and new product extensions. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work directly with multiple product platform teams and engineering departments. Mechanical Design Engineer requirements:
5+ years of experience specializing in compact product design, subsea/underwater equipment/enclosures, and precision electromechanical packaging (experience focused on standalone hardware/robotics rather than infrastructure or facility piping systems).
Strong hands-on experience with 3D Solid Modeling / CAD and industry-specific product design.
Must be familiar with precision manufacturing techniques (CNC, sheet metal, molding, rapid prototyping, and waterproof sealing methods).
Thorough knowledge of mechanical codes, material selection, and environmental protection standards (e.g., ingress protection, corrosion resistance).
Hands-on involvement and strong desire to verify fit and function of design intent; active support of build activities and hardware testing.
Create and manage engineering changes (ECs) to implement parts, assemblies, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Coordinate prototype orders with vendors and fabrication staff.

You will contribute to the development of products and systems that combine mechanics, electronics, sensors, actuators, control systems, and embedded software.
The role covers several phases of product development - from understanding requirements and developing concepts to detailed design, prototyping, system integration, testing, documentation, and manufacturing support.

Build, assemble, and test prototypes and complete systems.
Perform system integration, bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation.
